Singapore Green Building Council

Singapore Green Building Council (SGBC) was set up in 2009 to propel Singapore’s building and construction industry towards environmental sustainability. We promote green building design, practices and technologies; integrate green initiatives into mainstream design, construction and operation of buildings; as well as enhance capacity and professionalism to support the wider adoption of green building development and practices in Singapore.

SGBC is an established member of the World Green Building Council.

Products/Services

SGBC is a member-based organisation that empowers industry leaders to effect the transformation of the building industry toward sustainability. We set standards through our Singapore Green Building Product and Services certification schemes.

Why we are a green organisation

SGBC provides a platform for the public and private sectors to work together on strategies to raise the standards of environmental sustainability of the building industry in pursuit of the goals set out in the Sustainable Singapore 2030 blueprint.

Our Singapore Green Building Product and Services certification schemes help guide the industry’s choices in shaping our built environment and sets a benchmark for environmental standards of building products and sevices.
